Ready for a HOG Roast - Go 'Cats!

It's Game Day. And I'm ready for some shredded PORK.

Yep, I'm usually a beef girl. But today, I'm hoping the K-State Wildcats will shred those Arkansas Razorbacks during the Cotton Bowl.

Our family's littlest K-State fan will be decked out in her blinged-out Powercat stocking cap in Topeka.

I'll be wearing my bejeweled K-State shirt in Stafford. Brent left yesterday morning with friends to travel to Dallas to cheer on the 'Cats before going back to South Carolina for his final semester. My parents, siblings and families will be at the game. (They better be cheering loud enough for those of us here at home!)

Our family has been to K-State's other Cotton Bowl appearances. But with Kinley's original January due date, we didn't want to take the chance we'd miss a "game-changer" in our world.

So we'll be watching from home this time, and I needed a Cotton Bowl worthy meal.

Since pork isn't the mainstay in our freezer, I decided I'd check out recipes from the Real Farmwives of America and Friends. The Hoosier Farm Babe posted this Texas-Style Pulled Pork recipe during National Pork Month, and it seems the perfect time to try it out.

I'm ready for a little ROASTED, PULLED and SHREDDED Razorback tonight! Wanna join me?

(The Hoosier Farm Babe isn't taking sides in the football contest. But I am. GO 'CATS!!!!)

    1. We did enjoy the recipe (more than we enjoyed the game, but that's another story).
